Restart the Sage 50 connector

How to enable and use the restart button on a Sage 50 connector.

Under certain circumstances, customers may find it useful to restart their Sage 50 connector. For example, if they have syncs in progress that have been interrupted by a technical issue. By using the restart button, the connector automatically:

  • Cancels data syncs in progress for all the companies from managed from the connector.
  • Shuts down the connector.
  • Restarts it.

By default, the restart button is disabled. This article explains how to get the button enabled for a customer, and how to use it.

Enable the restart button

Codat's support team needs to enable the restart button for a customer. To do this they need the ID of the customer's connector.

To get the connector ID from your customer, ask them to:

  1. Open their Sage 50 connector.
  2. Select About.
  1. Select Copy next to the connector ID.
  1. Paste the ID into a document or email and send it to you.

You can then send the connector ID to the support team. They will confirm when the restart button is enabled.

  1. Open the Sage 50 connector.
  2. Select About.
  3. Select Restart.
